Most the time family pictures are "for mom". What I mean by this is that mom is the only one who cares about family portraits and most likely she's "dragging everyone else along". Am I right?
We need to remember the importance of what the family portrait symbolizes. It's not just so we remember what everyone looks like but its also for our posterity, to look back and remember the phases we've gone through, the style trends, and if you're having a really good session, the memories created that day.
Most people think, family photos=frustrating. My motto? Family photos=FUN!!! The best way to do this is be in comfortable clothes, be in a location that fits your style, and the best part (not as common) be doing something you love to do! From traditional and posed to lifestyle and entertaining, or even a little of both, I'm going to do my best to make it a good experience for everyone involved.
P.S. Don't forget Fido! (i.e. family pets welcome) :)
